My Approach to Therapy

My therapeutic style is warm, integrative, and client-centered. I approach care with experience in humanistic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, psychodynamic models, emotionally focused couples therapy (EFCT), trauma therapy, mindfulness practices, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction. I believe in tailoring my approach to meet the specific needs of each individual in order to help build awareness and connection; and am dedicated to creating a safe and collaborative environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors freely.

I specialize in working with clients on:

  • Family of origin issues

  • Relationship dynamics

  • Trauma

  • Sexual relationships

  • Sexuality and intimacy concerns

I also work with couples to enhance communication and strengthen their relational dynamics. As a certified sex therapist, I am skilled in addressing sexual issues with couples, groups, and individuals.

Commitment to Professional Development

I am dedicated to continuing education and actively seek opportunities to enhance my skills and knowledge in order to provide the best care possible. Since founding Cove Psychology, I have completed my AASECT certification to become a sex therapist and am currently pursuing certification as an emotionally focused couples therapist (EFCT). As of September 2024, I also became a member of the Massachusetts Ethics Committee, reflecting my deep respect for ethics in the field of psychology.

Meet My Sidekick: Chewy-waffles

Chewy is a 55 pound Goldendoodle who is often in my office with me. She is calm and sweet, and does not shed. She will greet you in the office or waiting room and be there throughout sessions!
